Amused by Email
Áine on May 28th, 2003 filed in Readers WriteI love how people gloat in email when they think they’ve kicked you around in some way. The thing is, unless I allow them to do so, they can’t kick me around at all. The interesting thing is, the one trying to do the kicking (and trying quite poorly, I must add) is seeking to be the center of my attention and seems to be obsessed by that idea. Two emails in two days… neither one have I responded to, up to this point.
A single line on a web site made up of thousands of lines of text is meaningless, and yet, for some odd reason, it catches the attention of this person. That is real power, and it apparently affected this person to the point of them not being able to type properly, or spell correctly, in their emails. The desire for victim-status is common with people that hate themselves, and this case is no different.
I find this extremely amusing. Go ahead, send some more, but at least use your overly-active imagination and make it just a bit more entertaining. I really don’t like wasting time reading drivel, you know.
