RIAA Radar

The RIAA Radar is a tool that music consumers can use to easily and instantly distinguish whether an album was released by a member of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)… Just as people can currently find out where some products come from and who made them,… it is important to have that knowledge for as many consumer goods as possible. Knowledge is power, and knowing where the product came from can (and should) influence what you buy.The RIAA is a group of several hundred record labels. The roster of members changes constantly (major labels create new subsidiary labels, popular artists are given their own labels, artists or labels leave the RIAA due to creative or political differences, etc.) and it is almost impossible to keep track. Aside from memorizing the entire list, or having the list available and checking it while shopping, it is hard to know who is a member and who is not.
Get a bookmarklet or use the handy form here to check the music you’d like to buy BEFORE you buy it. Find out more about the group providing this bookmarklet here.

Remember kids, a vote for the RIAA is a vote for evil. The RIAA will steal all of your candy.
