Via Stu Savory’s blog, I picked up the following meme (also via Caterina), now doing the rounds:-

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

The nearest book was The Great Shame : And The Triumph Of The Irish In The English-Speaking World by Thomas Keneally, author of Schindler’s List. The fifth sentence on page 23 is:

But they must have known in their blood that the resources required for a return over that great global distance were not within their reach.
