Debates : What would you ask?

Salon readers pose their debate questions to Bush and Kerry. If you were a debate moderator, and you only got to ask one question of the candidates, what question would you ask?

  1. Frank Kelly Says:

Under what circumstances would you order the use of nuclear weapons?

  2. Aine Says:

I don’t think I could ever give that order. I don’t see the point of tit for tat when it comes to nukes. Perusing some of the old photographs following our bombing of Japan had a profound influence on my thinking about this. At this point, however, Pandora’s Box has already been opened, hasn’t it?

It’s only a matter of time now.

  3. Aine Says:

It is a good question for the candidates, though. hehe

    My question would be:

Do you really believe that after both your staff imposed 31 pages of rules to this debate, the US citizens will believe this debate isn’t a fake? What’s the next step? Give moderators a list of the questions to be asked?

  5. Afonso Says:

My previous question was based on what I heard today in a portuguese news radio. At first I thought it was a joke, then I googled, and found this:

I am even thinking about writng an entry on it. In the humour section of course. :)
