WordPress and Other Sundry Things

Been working me bum off over at DeDanaan, that’s why there hasn’t been many entries of late over here. Tore down the old site completely, moved the domain to my TxD server and started over from scratch with WordPress. Fine application, really. Enjoying learning a bit more about PHP and I love how it finds my uploaded files and lets me edit them from inside the admin console, instead of messing with FTP and a third-party client. It just “sees” the file there and adds it to the list inside your templates and then it’s editable. Very nice. Hoping to get some other people interested in writing over there, mostly about Celtic things and Faeries and such. Any Danaans around?

Also getting set to launch Radio News America, a group project with some folks I met over at RRMB. I’ve been doing mostly backend tech work there, but I imagine I’ll be doing some writing as well. If anyone is interested in getting involved, check out the link above as well as our forums there and do register. We’re looking for writers and other people who like to discuss the news and such. You might want to subscribe to one of the many feeds, as well. There’s also going to be a radio broadcast component of the site, so stay tuned for the details on that. I’ll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, you might notice a link in the nav bar above to Faer Design and come up with a placeholder page and be wondering what that’s all about. Well, you’ll have to keep wondering for a while because I haven’t even begun to build that site yet. Soon as I see my way clear of some of these other projects, that site is next on the agenda.
