“…we’ve got some pretty strong moral values in my party in contradiction to the Republicans…our moral values are that we don’t think kids should go to bed hungry at night…” - On Meet the Press this past weekend with Tim Russert.

For those who can read Spanish see http://www.laprensa.com.ni/migrantes/
This newspaper articles describes how Mexico uses it’s armed forces in combination with their equivalents of INS, FBI, police to find and deport more than 100,000 Central Americans in the Southern Mexican States in just the last 5 months.

Our refusal to use such combined force is met with another new irrational Bush plan to align with Mexico and Canada in an open North American commonality of free borders, like an European Common Market, whereby imaginary border crossing is facilitated for sharing jobs and markets and mutual security. That’s right, this is a real new documented Bush proposal actively under works by Washington agencies with the logic that it will increase your security and allow our citizens to work inside Mexico for peanuts while the Mexican takes your minimum wage job at the local hamburger shop or Wal-Mart. But wait, using Republican non-consequential illogical collective reasoning, the plan does help eliminate unions. Trade Agreements or titles like “Favourite Nation” trade status are one sided simply because of the lower wage scale in the other countries. Continuing this course, only gets us closer to what I have written about before, entitled “Third World Trajectory” ours.

The burden on States to pay for schools and other social programs where in some districts 49% or even more are illegal is bankrupting us. As one who was assigned by a US Fortune 100 to create a Mexican subsidiary, I can attest to the obstacles and near persecution encountered with my own Foreign Service work permit (FSE) even though I hired over 600 Mexicans.

Why is that you Republicans with your heads buried in the sands, allow Mr. Bush to get away with repeatedly horrific, long term consequential blunders and just sit idly by listening to O’Reilly or Limbaughs empty chatter. I suggest you contact your representatives and tell them why you oppose this new Bush plan, that is if they even know about it!

Ed, it’s the Church of the Big 180.

It’s only “free trade” when it’s advantageous to destroy local markets. It’s only “open borders” when it’s allowing in the housekeepers and nannies for the rich. It’s only “culture of life” for whoever they deem worthy of life, whilst torturing people who are later quietly released with no charges ever filed against them. It’s only “democracy” when it’s their idea of democracy for others who are sitting on large oil resources, whilst destroying democracy at home.

It’s whatever justification they can come up with for inflicting their twisted values on everyone else, whilst their own hypocrisy may not be questioned.
