new dress

Oh, I forgot to mention that I bid on and won this beautiful Irish léine from eBay. It’s made by a lady named Sue Bennett from Buda, TX, who sells handmade attire for re-enactments, weddings, ren faires, etc.

Irish Léine

The picture doesn’t really do it justice. The one I received is very nice, particularly the gathering on the sleeves. The price was very, very reasonable, as well, and I’m quite happy with my purchase. Now all I need is the overdress to go with it, and some appropriate footwear (which can be hard to find). Not that I have anywhere to show off this garb, but that isn’t the point… the point is, I’ve wanted one of these for over ten years, and now I have it. If nothing else, I can wander through the woods like a loony old woman and scare the natives into thinking I’m some kind of witch or something. Muahahahaha.

I would, too. hehe

Hope you feel better. Tomorrow is supposed to be alot warmer, thank goodness! Today is Kylee’s 1st birthday so she had her party today! Wish I (grandma) could have been there to celebrate it with her. I sent her some clothes and a cute leap frog learning doll. Take care…get well.

    Hi Aunt Pam,
Nice dress. A hair ornament like a wreath made with some sort of vine with flowers intertwined and some cool fairy shoes would be neat. How is David doing? Where is he at?

Hope all is well. Feel better!

    Hey again,
I know exactly where he’s at. Yeah, there is rock and lots of sand. The base is HUGE…He is about 3 hours south of where I live now. They have a nice beach there (I am sure he hates it with a passion since I know the marines run it relentlessly…) My ex-husband is from Vista which is very close to Camp Pendleton. I have been on the base and in that medical clinic a few times. This is where they have those silly yellow caution signs warning of running illegal immigrants) It’s a nice base, but of course they do a lot of training. It’s best not to worry. May it bring you comfort knowing that living in the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula with the mosquitoes in the summer and unending snow storms has taught him valuable survival skills. (haha) The next time you talk to him, be sure to tell him his cousin says hello! Of course he doesn’t know me from Adam. I haven’t even seen him since he was a little boy. God I feel ancient. haha—stay warm!
