the decider, eh?

John in DC wrote a heckuva good rant over at AmericaBlog:

Someone give George Bush a God damn fucking civics lesson
by John in DC – 8/18/2006 12:48:00 PM

I’ve had it with this idiot.

We’ve got the president of the fucking United States of America lecturing a US court of law that it’s supposed to reach decisions NOT based on the rule of law, but on “the nature of the world we live in.”

You God damn stupid fuck.

You have the nerve to claim Osama and the terrorists hate our democracy? They got nothing on you and your fellow “Republicans.” Do you people even believe in freedom? Do you believe in the Bill of Rights? Do you believe in our Constitution? Do you fucking believe in anything other than your absolute power to do whatever the fuck you want like some two-bit communist dictator rather than the president of the greatest country on earth?

We live in a democracy, you incompetent ass – one that is quickly eroding because half the people of this country elected a moron to the presidency (twice) and now are so embarrassed by their vote that they refuse to stand up and demand an end to your idiotic reign of terror.

These are judges you’re demeaning. American jurists. The people in charge of our laws. And you speak of them like they’re nothing more than crap. You and your party have contempt for our entire system of jurisprudence, the entire system of checks and balances our democracy is based on, because you can’t get your way 100% of the time. Well boo-fucking-hoo. We are a country of laws, you stupid stupid man.

The world in which we live is one in which the town drunk thinks he’s the king of the fucking world.

Osama bin Laden is a danger to be sure. But the greatest threat to our democracy is from George Bush and his genuflecting Republicans.

The comment thread there is 700+ and growing…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The greatest threat to world freedom and the biggest terrorist in the world is none other than George W. Bush. He has single-handedly created more threats to our safety than any other terrorist in the world. Just remember folks that your votes for Bush in the last election were votes for terrorism.

I get what you’re saying, prozie, but it wasn’t him alone, unfortunately. The whole “establishment” is full of enablers, many of whom are now trying to distance themselves from him. It’s a big mess to clean up and I’m not sure there’s anything left in the budget to do much more than throw the bums out.

I couldn’t agree more, quite sad. Wonder who’ll be in next time, and what they’ll do…

Nice to see you both here, btw. Been a while, eh? Check out Cocomment (link is in the comment list in the sidebar, it’s an early version of an attempt to allow users to track their comments across the web (so you’ll know when someone replies to your comments). Works on most blogs and involves a Firefox extension. :)

bush and his peeps want to control the people by laws and constitution more than ever, but king bush wants exemption.
btw the us is a republic, not a democracy TG
    it has elected representatives.
the terrorism wasn’t created by bush and does need to be faught, but iraq had nothing do do with 911, and atacking it made matters worse, meanwhile korea has, and iran soon to have nuclear capabilities.
in iraq as the troops secure one town, they leave to have it go bad again and again.
as far as the wiretaps, i have always beleaved they were unconstitutional.
this war on terror is only an excuse to increase the control the us gov has on it’s people and the world “new world order, bush sr.”

“this war on terror is only an excuse to increase the control the us gov has on it’s people and the world “new world order, bush sr.”

You have to keep in mind that wars aren’t fought against ideas or things, like the “war on drugs”. Wars are fought against people. And usually it’s for their beliefs or land. I’m standing behinnd Bushwick Bill and the Ghetto Boys when they said motherfuck a war. Yo Bush! I ain’t yer damned whore!

  7. Aine says:

I have to wonder just how representative our democracy really is… after all, how many millionaires do you know personally?

And I agree with Maj. Gen. Smedley Darlington Butler who said “War is a racket.”

  8. prozie says:

I hate to agree with this saying, but war is good business. And damn the money loathing politicians that encourage it.

  9. Aine says:

They encourage it because they aren’t the ones making the sacrifice. If profiteering during war-time were illegal, and if it was their children either wearing the uniforms or getting bombed, you can be damned sure there would be no more war.

  10. prozie says:

Bullshit! Those worthless motherfuckers would send their kids over to Iraq if the PAC money was right. All they give a shit about is what goes into the re-election fund. These damned re-elected congressmen just want another pay check. And I’m sick of that shit. There needs to be a lame duck law for congress just like there is for the Presidency. 2 terms and your worthless ass is out. To hell with all this PAC money bullshit. It’s time we got rid of corporate America buying off lawmakers.

this war on terror is only an excuse to increase the control the us gov has on it’s people and the world
actually i meant they are using the “war on terror” as an excuse.
a very interesting frontline “deadzone” sheds much light on this with newly declasified docs on 911, etc

  12. Aine says:

Control of the masses was one of the goals, yes, but there’s also oil and other natural resources, government contracts, various kinds of CIA businesses, and then there’s the House of Saud and the bin Laden construction company.

Which family in America has the closest ties to the bin Ladens? That’s right, the Bush family.
