Iraq: Sinking Confidence
clipmarks on March 9th, 2007 filed in PoliticsIt doesn’t take a genius to come up with this conclusion… some of us, including Yours Truly, figured this out long before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. Trillions in debt racked up, thousands of deaths, many more thousands of lives torn apart… what did they expect? Oh, yeah, now I remember… candy and flowers and to be greeted as “liberators”. It’s long past time to get out of Iraq and stop feeding these delusional profiteering parasites. Push for criminal investigations, indictments, and prison sentences for the guilty ones. We owe at least that much to those who have suffered as a result of the actions of the Idiocracy.
Outside Bush’s immediate circle, there is thus little confidence in Washington that the increase in US forces will achieve sufficiently rapid progress to stem the continuing erosion of public support for the war. National Security Council officials tell us, however, that there is no readily available alternative.
